The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is the single organization uniting all pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists worldwide. Its Industrial Pharmacy Section (IPS) focuses on the development; manufacturing and regulatory aspects of pharmaceuticals.   

  This year, the FIP is coming to Basel, the Mekka of Pharmaceutical Industry. IPS will present a series of three unique parallel FIP-IPS INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY workshops, which will bring to the participants the most up-to-date information in manufacturing, QC/QA and regulation of pharmaceuticals.  More than twenty International Distinguished Chairs and Speakers from the  Swiss,  U.S., Danish, Dutch, Belgium and  British Universities;  U.S.A.  and  European Manufacturers of Pharmaceuticals, Raw Materials, Excipients, Polymers, Instruments and Equipment for the Manufacturing and Quality Control of Pharmaceuticals and the US FDA Senior Scientists will share their experiences.  The presented topics include, but are not limited to, Modern Technologies for Pre-Formulation and Manufacturing;  Process Analytical Technology, Quality by Design, Quality Risk Management, FDA perspectives, etc.
 
A unique feature of the Basel pre-satellite workshops is a practical workshop at the University of Basel Biozentrum/Pharmazentrum Industrial Pharmacy  Laboratories and computer labs.
